This Privacy Policy describes how Idea Think ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information. Idea Think is a personal idea-management application developed by an independent developer and distributed through the Apple App Store.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. The core principle behind Idea Think is that your thoughts are private. The app is architected to be fully offline, with no data ever transmitted to external servers.
2.Information We Collect
We collect no personal information. Idea Think does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
The app does not include any analytics SDK, crash-reporting service, advertising framework, or data-collection library. No usage data, telemetry, or diagnostics are transmitted anywhere.
3.Data Stored Locally on Your Device
All content you create in Idea Think — ideas, trees, tags, and notes — is stored in a local database on your device using industry-standard embedded database technology. This data:
- Never leaves your device automatically
- Is not synced to any cloud service operated by us
- Is not accessible to us or any third party
- Is included in your standard iOS device backup (iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder backup) if you have backup enabled — this is controlled entirely by your iOS settings
Your app preferences (theme, language, notification settings) are also stored locally using iOS standard preferences storage, and are similarly backed up only if you have device backup enabled.
4.Notifications
Idea Think includes an optional daily reminder feature. If you enable it, reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely by the iOS notification system on your device — no push notification server is used. We do not receive, transmit, or process any notification tokens or identifiers.
You can disable notifications for Idea Think at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Idea Think.
5.Exports and Sharing
Idea Think allows you to export your ideas as a PDF document or a JSON file. These exports are generated entirely on your device and are not transmitted to us.
When you choose to share an export using the iOS Share Sheet, the content is sent to whichever app or service you select (for example, Mail, Messages, or Files). Idea Think has no visibility into or control over what you share, where you send it, or how the receiving service handles it. You are solely responsible for any data you choose to export and share.
6.No Third-Party Services
Idea Think does not integrate with any third-party service that collects personal data. In particular:
- No analytics — no Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or equivalent
- No advertising — no ad SDKs of any kind
- No crash reporting — no Sentry, Crashlytics, or equivalent
- No social login — no Sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook
- No cloud sync — no iCloud Drive sync managed by us, no proprietary sync service
- No remote configuration — no A/B testing or feature-flag services
The app uses the url_launcher package solely to open the App Store page for the app review link at your explicit request. This is a standard iOS deep-link and does not transmit any personal information.
7.Children's Privacy
Idea Think is a general-purpose productivity application. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the app collects no data whatsoever, it does not collect data from children either.
8.Data Security
Because all data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on the security of your device. We recommend enabling a device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID, and keeping your iOS software up to date. Standard iOS app sandboxing prevents other apps from accessing Idea Think's data.
9.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice within the app or on this website. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Continued use of Idea Think after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
