Tap the amber + button at the bottom of the screen to open the idea input bar. Type your idea and tap the send button — it appears instantly on the Home screen as a new top-level idea.

You can also press and hold an existing idea card to access quick actions, including adding a child idea directly below it.

The Pending tab is your quick-capture inbox. Any idea you add without selecting a tree lands here first. It's designed for fast, frictionless capture — jot it down now, organise it into a tree later.

Tap an idea in Pending to move it into a tree, or tap Branch to start building a sub-tree directly from it.

Open any idea by tapping it. On the detail screen, tap Branch to add a child idea beneath it. You can branch as many levels deep as you like — there is no depth limit.

To navigate back up the tree, use the breadcrumb trail at the top of the screen.

Tap the Map icon in the bottom navigation bar to open Tree Map view. This shows your entire idea tree as an interactive node graph — every branch and sub-branch at a glance.

Long-press any node on the map to open a quick-action menu (View Detail, Branch, and more).

Swipe left on any idea card, or long-press it, and tap Pin. Pinned ideas always float to the top of their list, regardless of when they were created.

Tap the Search tab (magnifying glass) in the bottom navigation bar. Type any keyword and results appear in real time. You can filter by tag or drill into specific depth levels.

Swipe left on an idea card and tap Delete, or open the idea and use the ⋯ menu → Delete.

Deleted ideas are soft-deleted and permanently removed after 30 days — so if you delete something by accident, contact us promptly and we may be able to advise a recovery path before the 30-day window closes.

Go to Settings → Export. You can export your entire idea library as a PDF (formatted for reading and printing) or as JSON (for backup or migration).

You can also share a single idea tree as a PDF directly from the Tree Map or Branch view using the share icon.

All your ideas are stored exclusively on your device. Idea Think has no server, no account system, and no cloud sync. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export and share it yourself.

We recommend using the JSON export feature periodically as a personal backup, and storing the file in iCloud Drive or another location of your choice.

No. Idea Think collects zero personal data. There is no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising SDK, and no network requests made by the app. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Go to Settings → Daily Reminder. Toggle the reminder on and choose your preferred time. The notification fires locally on your device at that time every day — no server is involved.

Make sure you have granted notification permission to Idea Think in iOS Settings → Notifications → Idea Think.

Go to Settings → Appearance to switch between light and dark mode, and to choose your accent colour from the six available options.

To change the display language, go to Settings → Language. Idea Think supports English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
